 The device is being billed as the ultimate in “chic communication”. The Jalou is only 7cm long; enabling it to easily fit into ladies cramped handbags.

Sony Ericsson conducted studies into the latest architecture and furniture trends as well as paying deep consideration to the world of culture and fashion while designing the Jalou.

The Jalou isn’t just a pretty face and features a two-inch screen, which at the touch of a button becomes a mirror. The device also contains Sony Ericssons “Walk Mate” pedometer, which counts how many steps you do in a day.

The Jalou is available in a variety of colours, all inspired by precious gems such as Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black. Also included are a 3.2 megapixel camera for snapping all your friends, a music player for listening to the latest Take That song, Video recording, Bluetooth, FM radio and the internet where you can check the latest social network updates.
You can also expect to see deep and natural jewel colours on the runway next year.
